I am working with one of the leading privately owned house builders in devon and cornwall who are looking to expand their team with a town planner. The business is going through a period of growth and has recently recruited a number of key people and the planner appointment is due to an increase in land buying activity You will be working closely with the rest of the team and report directly in the group planning director. The business is super successful and has acquired a lot of land (both immediate and strategic) over the past 24 months. You will be working on several very exciting and high-profile planning applications in devon and cornwall You will be a town planner with 2 - 5 years post-graduation experience in house building, local authority, council or planning consultancy This is a unique and rare opportunity to work for one of the most dynamic and entrepreneurial property developers in the southeast and to work with some of the leading names in land buying, development and planning. Responsibilities Managing current and future planning applications The appointment and coordination of external planning consultants to oversee workloads on applications and appeals Support the land buying team on appraisals on future land purchases Keep the planning director updated on monthly reports for each project you are handling Keep abreast and current on planning policy changes or updates in south west local authorities. Key Requirements Degree qualified and RTPI. Ideally you will be 2-5 years post-graduation Be currently working for a planning consultancy or local authority and looking to gain client/ developer side experience. Bright, ambitious and determined for success.
