£45,000- £60,000 We are working with an International Commodities business who are seeking a Trade Accountant to join their team overseeing their accounting and control activities. This hands-on role offers an excellent opportunity to develop finance expertise within a soft commodity trading company. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily activities for the trading desk, including P&L, accounts payable, and cash accounting, coordinating closely with the India-based accounting team. Rotate through month-end processes to build commodity accounting expertise, covering accruals, intercompany reconciliations, management reporting, and certifications. Prepare monthly forward books and new business P&L for physical trades. Collaborate with trade, shipping, and origin teams to improve processes and address queries. Support finance projects such as cash flow forecasting, FX exposure management, and system implementations. Skills & Experience: Fully or part qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or similar). Minimum of 2 years' experience in audit or industry roles. Interest in commodity markets. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills. Strong Excel skills.
