Closing Date09/12/2024Job Title: Trade Effluent Data AnalystLocation: Falmer/ Worthing-2 days office based and remaining Work from HomePerm/FTC: Fixed Term Contract/Secondment- Ending December 2025Hours: 37 per week Salary: Up to £35,000 per annumSouthern Water are excited to be hiring for a Trade Effluent Data Analyst to work as part of their Trade Effluent team. You'll be responsible for ensuring Trade Effluent IT systems and data are maintained and updated so they are compliant with the Market and to support meeting Service Level Agreements. You’ll also take on responsibility for the timely and accurate transfer of information to and from the Market Operator and Retailers.Role Accountabilities:•Ensure that Southern Water meets statutory Service Levels for updating the Market Operator by monitoring and managing the data transfer interface between Southern Water Trade Effluent and the Market Operator, identifying any technical issues that arise and liaising with IT to resolve appropriately.•Ensure that all TE non-household data is uploaded correctly from Southern Water to the Market Operator systems and the data adheres to Southern Water data quality and management objectives, policies and standards.•Resolve escalated complex account issues through liaison with the Trade Effluent Team, Wholesale Services Team, Market Performance, Retailer and other Wholesalers.•Proactively identify and lead new processes to improve Southern Water’s trade effluent offering to retailers, customers and to continue to meet regulatory requirements.•To set-up and manage data improvement projects as appropriate, including progress, risk and governance to maximise wholesale trade effluent revenue opportunities in the Market.•Provide role cover for the Trade Effluent Advisor and Trade Effluent Revenue and Billing Performance Analyst.•Carry out data investigations using reports from the Market Operator interface.•Manage and maintain monthly reports sent out to the Trade Effluent Team and Retailer.To be successful in this role, you will have Advanced working knowledge of Excel with good background in managing interface IT systems, preferably including use of Alteryx systems. You will have strong technical skills and experience in data transfer/management and data manipulation skills with IT system requirements gathering and testing. Good understanding of Trade Effluent processes and procedures will be advantageous but not essential.
