A look into the role Henderson Foodservice is the leading supplier to the food service industry in Ireland. We source products from throughout Great Britain and Ireland, along with an expanding portfolio from Europe and the Rest of the World. Our successful candidate will have management responsibility for trading performance across a number of set categories, ensuring a market, sales and profit focus is developed, communicated and executed. As Trading Controller, you will define product portfolio and service levels which will deliver a market leading offer to meet the customer needs while improving overall profitability. This position will be suited to a candidate who has a proven track record in a trading or category management related function. A look into the role Joining us as Trading Controller the minimum criteria youll need is: GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent). A minimum 3 years trading experience in a Foodservice/FMCG environment. A strong background in purchasing / buying. Category management experience in FMCG Experience working with reorder, ERP systems and resource. Strong experience in supplier management. Ability to develop and achieve budgets. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications. Current UK/EU Driving License The Attributes youll need include: Highly developed negotiation and resolution skills. Sound demonstrable financial acumen. Ability to communicate with credibility to varied stakeholders. Excellent leadership skills. Work on own initiative. Work independently using your own initiative and demonstrate problem solving aptitude. It is desirable if you had: A degree or management qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
