The Role

Located in Ashburton and reporting to the General Manager Contracting, you will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and implementation of all Traffic Management services, while ensuring compliance with the existing Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPPTM). You will also be responsible for leading us in the adoption of the New Zealand Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM). Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring Traffic Management projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Coordinating planning, scheduling, and fleet management.

Overseeing health, safety, quality and wellbeing while ensuring compliance and regulatory standards.

Fostering strong communication between teams and stakeholders.

Contributing to EA Networks' emergency management and community relations efforts.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in traffic management, with a track record in people management and administration. A Full Class 2 driver's license, STMS A & B certification, and a First Aid Certificate are essential, while a Health & Safety Qualification and Traffic Management Planner certification are desirable. You will have working knowledge of CoPTTM, Waka Kotahi, and roading corridor access requirements (RCA), as well as experience with TMP design software such as Invarion RapidPlan. In addition, strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to manage deadlines, and attention to detail are critical to your success in this position.
