An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Trust's team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners in Older People's Services. The successful applicant will be based within the recently expanded ACP-led RACE Clinic /OPS SDEC RBH which provides same day emergency care for older patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions. Successful applicants should be prepared to undertake a 3 year part time MSc ACP programme with the university and will be offered Band 7 until this qualification is achieved and a digital badge obtained. Once the candidate has completed this course and undertaken agreed clinical and leadership competencies for the role they will move up to a band 8a position. We are seeking to appoint an individual who is passionate about progressing services for older people, is self-motivated and possesses excellent communication and clinical skills. Rota:

Qualification

Professional registration with relevant professional body Experience and/or relevant competencies in the discussion, communication and recording of advanced directives and resuscitation discussions and decisions (or willingness to undertake required training) Recognised teaching qualification Leadership / management course relevant to health care environment Experience

Demonstrable experience of caring for older people Knowledge and understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and experience of its application for Older People Managing defined caseload of DME patients Disclosure and Barring Service Check
