Have you ever been curious as to what it is like working in the Urgent and Emergency Care team? This is a rare opportunity to work with our teams. This role will be dependent on skills and experience but will be a band 8a for a qualified ACP, or a band 7 Clinical Practitioner will be considered if history taking is completed at M Level. Main duties of the job

To work as an autonomous practitioner across professional boundaries and as part of a multi-professional team, with support from the Medical and ED Consultants. To work as part of the clinical team in delivering high quality emergency care and treatments. To provide initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care for patients within the UTC, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit and the Assessment Units. To provide initial history taking and clinical assessment skills for the patients presenting to Emergency Care. To work towards gaining the competence and skill to see any patient presenting with any condition to the emergency department, assessment units or Same Day Emergency Care. To work collaboratively with the emergency medical team and the medical teams to meet the needs of the patients presented within the Emergency Care. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the decision-making process with support from both the ED and medical consultants. To undertake Advanced Level Practice in line with Department of Health position statement for Advanced level Nursing. Work to the 4 pillars of advanced practice. About us

Qualifications

1st level qualified nurse or allied health professional Current registration with the NMC / HCPC or equivalent professional body MSc degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent) Registered independent prescriber Advanced Life Support provider Teaching Qualification EPALS provider ATLS / ETC provider Previous Experience

Completed portfolio of supervised practice in advanced clinical practice. Contemporary clinical experience of urgent and emergency care. Participating in a multi-professional team. Involvement in service improvement. Implementation of best practice. Clinical mentor, appraiser, or supervisor. Experience in a leadership role. Evidence of Particular: Knowledge; Skills; Aptitudes

Must be able to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework: Patient Centred, Safety, Compassion, Respect, and Excellence. Specific requirements

Able to present and receive complex information to a multi-professional team. Able to work independently and within a team. Able to work with undifferentiated and undiagnosed healthcare problems. Willingness to adapt to departmental and patient needs. Self-motivated. Efficient time and deadline management. Ability to support colleagues, patients, and relatives in sometimes distressing circumstances. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
