Job Description Casa Environmental Services have an exciting opportunity for a trainee/Junior Asbestos Surveyor. We require someone who is based in Berkshire and the Surrounding Areas, that is hard-working, has the ambition and enthusiasm to help deliver a first-class service to our ever-expanding client base and who is eager and willing to learn a new trade. In recent years Casa Environmental has become one of the leading asbestos consultancies in the Southwest of the UK, delivering the highest standards of asbestos surveys to Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Government Departments, The NHS, Major Construction Companies, and many other sectors. The successful candidate will be mentored through Casa’s in-house training programme and will be trained and supported to achieve industry-recognised qualifications, such as BOHS P402. You will work on a variety of different sites and in various locations across the South of the UK. No two days will be the same as each working day will allow you to gain a diverse range of skills within the industry. The role is technical, physical, and hands-on. It will require you to physically and visually inspect buildings, capturing building construction and material data along with drawing electronic site plans. Minimum Requirements: Basic understanding of DIY, the building trade/construction industry Good understanding of technology (use of tablet-based applications) Full UK Driving License Primary Duties: Building inspections, including management and refurbishment/demolition Asbestos surveys Liaise with tenants and client representatives in a professional manner Sampling in accordance with HSG264 and in-house technical procedures Record data accurately on company database, via a tablet device Accurately record sample information onto sample bags and sample labels Produce accurate electronic site plans, where necessary, and accurately record all sample locations and material extent onto final plans Check plans against data on tablet and sample bags, prior to submission Ensure all samples taken are submitted to the laboratory for analysis, within the client specified time frame Quality Assurance checks of report accuracy Benefits of Working with Casa Environmental Services: Competitive salary structure, depending on skills and experience More than just a minimum pension offering Monthly Bonus Six-monthly performance bonus 29 days annual leave including Bank Holidays and a day off for your birthday Performance & recognition rewards Private Medical Insurance Industry-leading training opportunities and encouragement to learn on the job and gain further qualifications Employee Assistance Programme, which includes counselling services and legal assistance Cashback and discounts on purchases and events All equipment required to fulfil the role supplied – including a tablet, phone, and company vehicle Opportunities to progress and expand your role with support from the whole team Please submit your application below – we look forward to hearing from you.
