Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of clients, including processing invoices, receipts, and payments. Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC deadlines, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations. Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial information, answer queries, and provide advice on VAT-related matters. Use a variety of software, predominantly Xero, but also Sage and Quickbooks. Payroll: Operating weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients. Obtain the relevant information from the client, process the information, and send the final payroll and pay slips to the client. Notify the client of the PAYE and NIC liability. Dealing with client queries regarding payroll matters. Dealing with Auto enrolment; pension letters and uploads.
