We have an exciting opportunity at Derbyshire Recovery Partnership for someone who is passionate about beginning a career in the substance use sector. As a Trainee drug and alcohol worker, the role will involve developing the skill set, knowledge and competencies to become a Substance Use Practitioner, via a mixture of training, coaching and practice-based learning. This role day to day will involve working in the North East area of Derbyshire, specifically Clowne, Creswell and Whitwell, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Our Trainee roles are fixed term positions for 6 months and at the end of the 6 months there are opportunities to apply for a Substance Use Practitioner role. The role is based in a busy community drug and alcohol service. It will involve developing the skills to offer a range of harm reduction interventions, assessment, risk management and recovery-focused interventions to support our clients attain improved health outcomes and achieve their personalised treatment goals.
