A client of ours in the Harlow area is recruiting a

Trainee Ecommerce Executive

to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.15am - 4.45pm or 8.30am - 5.00pm. Paying £23,000 - £25,000 per annum depending on experience. This role is office-based with the option to work from home one day per week.

Key Duties include but are not limited to: Manage product uploads and help create the product upload files including images and all extended fields for each ecommerce site. Using Excel functions to manage data and Photoshop to make basic edits. Ensure the sites offer up-to-date product information and content. Help collate board reports and put together management meeting notes. Help manage the Teamwork ticketing system, update the web development queue sheet, and over time get involved with sprint planning and coordination. Help manage landing pages for emails and PPC via Magento. Report on traffic behaviour and use onsite analytics to make recommendations about site structure. Regular site usability and functionality testing. Write progress reports on outstanding projects and lead retrospective activities in the aftermath of a code deployment. Coordinate and drive project reviews. Research website initiatives to constantly improve the customer journey. Assist with the creation of web development projects and tickets on JIRA encompassing support tasks, bug fixes, maintenance, and new functionality/features for our 3rd party developer agency to work on. Help with implementing more efficient working processes. Assist with the investigation and fixing of web-related issues. You will on occasion be asked to be available outside of normal business hours to respond to critical system alerts. This will mainly be a case of checking basic critical functions during our peak trading periods.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Trainee Ecommerce Executive position: An Ecommerce related degree. Good communication skills. Good understanding of Excel functions and ability to independently create reports. Good technical knowledge of the components of a website and a webpage and how these components interact. Basic knowledge of HTML and other website languages. Online retail experience desirable. Previous experience in using tools such as Narrator, Power BI, Klevu and Semrush are desirable but not essential.
