| Norwich Year 2 Trainee Educational Psychologist –

position available from 01 September 2025 to 31 August 2027 Educational Psychology and Specialist Support in Norfolk – the team to be in! This post provides an opportunity for a candidate who expects to complete the first year of their doctoral course in educational psychology in August 2025 to join our Educational Psychology and Specialist Support Team from September 2025 for employment and professional support whilst completing their training. This is a full-time Local Authority post and the expectation of the Local Authority is that Trainees will make a commitment to be available to work within Norfolk Educational Psychology and Specialist Support, for 130 days within each of the two employment years. For the period of employment, the University will be deemed to be the approved employee base for those days when appointees are not in Norfolk. Over the period of the Trainee’s second and third year of doctoral training they will be a member of the team of professionals in Norfolk's Educational Psychology and Specialist Support team, undertaking work within the authority whilst meeting university requirements. Additionally, upon qualifying, the Trainee will be encouraged to be an Educational Psychologist member of the Norfolk Educational Psychology team. We are a nurturing and friendly team, which believes in continuous learning. We provide supervision tailored to individual needs, access to a generous CPD programme, allowing scope for further development of professional interests, and flexible working arrangements. Educational Psychology and Specialist Support is a multi-disciplinary team and provides a broad range of professional consultation, assessment, intervention, training, development and preventative work, and meets the requirements of universities for Trainee Educational Psychologists.
