Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fire safety systems and engineering principles. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills to design, build, and maintain effective fire protection systems. The Fire Engineer will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Duties Design and develop fire protection systems including alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems. Create detailed schematics and CAD drawings to illustrate system designs. Conduct site assessments to evaluate fire hazards and recommend appropriate solutions. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate fire safety measures into building designs. Utilise power tools and hand tools for the installation and maintenance of fire safety equipment. Perform regular inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure functionality and compliance with regulations. Provide technical support during the construction phase to ensure adherence to design specifications. Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and standards related to fire safety engineering. Requirements Proven experience in fire engineering or a related field is essential. Proficiency in CAD software for system design is required. Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of electrical systems. Familiarity with building codes, fire safety regulations, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. Experience using power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. A degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
