Our Client Is an ISO 9001 quality standard company with a track record of providing essential inspection activities to some of the largest national and international Companies involved in the food and drink industries and provide critical non-destructive inspection services of equipment plant and machinery to clients in the power, oil, energy and general engineering sectors.

Although based in Swindon, the Company carries out the majority of its inspection activities at its customers' sites throughout the UK and increasingly overseas. The successful candidate(s) will receive on-the-job training and will be required to gain National / Internationally recognised inspection and safety qualifications.

Duties include:

Attend clients' sites to carry out inspection Follow our test instructions and quality procedures Set up equipment in accordance with our inspection procedures at clients' premises Abide by all Health and Safety standards through proficient use of risk assessments and method statements Prepare reports and certificates detailing results and findings Discuss findings and results with clients Help maintain inspection equipment and carry out calibration checks Trainee specification: A conscientious, responsible, proactive, very reliable individual with good timekeeping and a can-do attitude for this permanent position. Sound knowledge of all MS Office applications. Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English. Must be able to work on their own, as well as a good team player. Our clients in the food and drink industry require a high level of cleanliness, therefore a high standard of personal hygiene. Ability to work at height, climb ladders, scaffold and access platforms. There is restricted access to some of the items we examine, therefore the ability to work in confined spaces is essential. Full safety training will be given. Willingness to travel at home and abroad. The role requires a willingness to work flexible hours with weekends, evenings, and some night shifts. Occasionally our projects require periods of time up to two weeks away from our Swindon office.

Essential:

At least 2 A-Levels, and GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English A clean driving license Valid Passport Good communication skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel Good eyesight, and not colour blind due to the requirements of the role Requirement to be fully vaccinated, unless you cannot be fully vaccinated What we can offer you: Starting annual salary: £24,000 plus overtime pay. Salary increases after training. Average annual salary approx £36,000 after full training and experience. Performance bonus. All accommodation and food paid for when working away from home. Training opportunities. Employer contribution pension. 28 days holidays including statutory bank days, pro-rata increasing to 30 days after three years. Up to 2 days paid volunteering days.
