Due to expansion, we are seeking a Trainee Install Engineer. We offer training, support, and opportunities for development. As a valued team member, you will join our install team installing and commissioning a variety of refrigeration units to various vehicles at our workshop based in Uckfield.

At Rex Limited, we convert panel vans of any make, model, shape, or size and produce temperature-controlled vehicles for a wide variety of users, from small local businesses to large dealerships, to meet their specifications. We pride ourselves on manufacturing high-quality vehicles and thrive on opportunities to design, develop, insulate, and install temperature-controlled units to specialized vehicles. Due to continued growth and high demand for our services, the company is now looking to recruit a suitable candidate to join our team.

The duties include but are not limited to the following as a Trainee Install Engineer:

After a period of training, you will have knowledge and be able to install a range of refrigeration systems to various vehicles, working with a team and independently.

Be required to pressure test, gas, and commission refrigeration units.

Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis and complete paperwork.

Skills and experience:

Have basic mechanical knowledge.

Have use of hand tools.

Keen to learn and develop new skills.

Flexible to meet business demands.

A team player.

Able to do some weekend/overtime work.

Able to demonstrate good communication.

Basic housekeeping duties.

Hours of work:

8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday. Weekend work and overtime available.

Salary:

Dependent on knowledge.
