IT Field Technician Programme

- No Experience Required.

Please note this is a training course and fees apply.

Are you looking to benefit from a new career in IT? Skills shortages in the IT sector are driving the need for qualified, entry-level career seekers and career changers.

We have a long-standing relationship with a large national IT contracting company that has an ongoing need for IT technicians to help manage and facilitate their IT contracts across the UK. They work with many large organisations including Virgin Media, RICOH, Computacentre, Fortinet, and Fujitsu.

Graduates from this programme will begin contract work with our IT contracting partner as IT Field Technicians, with many roles evolving into permanent positions with their clients.

Companies and organisations have a real need for entry-level IT staff who can hit the ground running with minimal additional training. This is one of the main reasons why our IT contracting partner prefers our candidates.

The best part is you do not need any prior experience in IT, as we provide fully accredited training required by our IT contracting partner.

This role requires candidates to drive; therefore, you

must

hold a full UK driver's license prior to completing the training component of the programme.

Training for the programme is completed online with an estimated completion time of 8-12 weeks if you can study at least 5 hours per week. The training is self-funded but can be spread over 10 monthly instalments. During this study period, we provide full tutor support and mentoring with 1-2-1 access if required. Students who complete the training programme are guaranteed attendance at a 5-day workshop with our IT contract partner to assess practical IT skills and suitability. We have a current success rate of 95% of our candidates being offered a contract after this workshop.

This package is flexible and can be completed at a pace that suits you, whether you are working full-time, part-time, or are unemployed.

Step 1 - Accredited Online Training

The first step is completing three internationally recognised courses from CompTIA. CompTIA qualifications are the industry standard for building careers in IT. The training is delivered online by CompTIA, ensuring material is current and up-to-date. Training includes multimedia-rich video tutorials, practice labs, presentations, and quizzes. You will be assigned an expert tutor and a career support mentor to assist you throughout your training.

This programme does not require you to pass official CompTIA exams. However, our IT contracting partner requires confirmation that you have achieved their minimum standard. Therefore, you will be expected to pass an online assessment for each course studied to confirm readiness for the workshop.

Step 2 - 5 Day Workshop

The 5-day workshop is run by our IT contracting partner. This is your chance to demonstrate that you can put theory into practice and that you would be a suitable candidate for them and their clients. At the end of the workshop, you will be informed if you have been successful and offered a contract. Currently, 95% of candidates who complete the workshop are offered a contract. We will reimburse up to £180 towards accommodation and travel costs incurred (subject to terms and conditions).

Step 3 - Working in IT

You will now begin working with our partner on your first contract. However, if you do not pass the workshop or decide not to accept the offer, we will continue to collaborate with our internal recruitment team to help you find a suitable IT position.

We currently have 6,153 live graduate jobs and are adding more regularly.
