Join our team at McDonald’s Tunbridge Wells as a Trainee Shift Manager and embark on a comprehensive training program designed to prepare you for a future leadership role in our organisation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to learn the ropes of shift management while earning a competitive hourly rate. As a Trainee Shift Manager, you will work under the guidance of experienced shift managers and participate in a structured development plan that spans between 3 to 6 months, preparing you for a Shift Manager role, at which point your pay will increase to £13.37 per hour. You must be 18+ for this role. Key Responsibilities:

Learn and understand the company's policies, procedures, and operational standards. Assist with the day-to-day operations, including team management, customer service, and problem resolution. Gain hands-on experience in supervising and coaching team members to ensure high-quality service and efficiency. Participate in inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Collaborate with other managers and departments to meet organizational goals and standards. Develop strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making competencies. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both team members and customers. Training and Development Plan:

Orientation and Onboarding: You will receive an orientation to familiarize you with our company culture, policies, and the role's expectations. Shadowing and Mentorship: You will work alongside experienced Shift Managers to observe and learn best practices. Training Modules: You will complete training modules covering leadership, operational procedures, team management, and customer service. Hands-on Experience: You will gradually take on more responsibilities as you gain confidence and experience. Performance Reviews: Regular performance reviews will be conducted to assess your progress and provide feedback. Graduation to Full Shift Manager: Upon successful completion of the training period and meeting performance expectations, you will be promoted to a full Shift Manager position. Qualifications and Requirements:

A strong desire to pursue a career in shift management. High school diploma or equivalent (higher education is a plus). Availability for a flexible, full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
