Trainee Warehouse Person/Driver . Our client is a well-established, niche freight forwarding agent. This role would suit a trainee or someone with a little previous experience, so the salary will depend on this. All relevant training will be provided, including Forklift, Security & H&S Courses. Employment Terms for Trainee Warehouse Driver Monday-Friday 9-5.30 (flexible) 25 days holiday – increasing after 2 years by 1 day p.a. up to 30 days + BH Pension Healthcare Paid Overtime £26k NEG DOE & plus paid overtime as required Required for the Trainee Warehouse Driver Physically fit and able to lift Good verbal & written English Basic MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel Bright & numerate Team player Hardworking Reliable & punctual Good work ethic Standard UK clean driving licence (max 3 pts) with 1 year driving experience Forklift licence (training can be provided) Steady 5-year employment/education, ideally with no gaps No criminal record Duties for the Trainee Warehouse Driver Daily vehicle & forklift checks/log book Collection & deliveries (small van) Occasional distance driving (small van) Loading/offloading of vehicles Manual handling of goods Goods booking in and out Check weigh freight and note dimensions Damage reports Documentation checks Cargo labelling Cargo manifesting Dangerous goods awareness Picking and packing Manual bond check Ad hoc admin duties
