Training & Development Specialist – ETCS Immediate start – 6 months contract Outside IR35 Remote working Rate: Neg MPI have a fantastic opportunity for a Training & Development Specialist to join our Clients Education and Skills (E&S) Training function. Reporting to the Senior Training & Development Specialist, you will support the ETCS Freight Onboard project for a period of 6 months. You will be involved in the development of training materials for the ETCS Freight Onboard project, focusing on training the freight operator maintenance and operations trainers on how to use our Clients Onboard System, and may be required to deliver courses. You will need to apply your existing experience to deliver the ETCS training material to ensure key business deliverables are achieved. Qualifications, Experience & Technical Know-How Essential: Be educated to HNC level in a STEM subject. Knowledge of ETCS principles. Knowledge of locomotive operations and maintenance. Experience in developing training material and supporting the development of training strategies. The ability to write and review course material. Ability to be trained in a related field of expertise. Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with customers at all levels. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Good presentation skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Able to work on own initiative as part of a virtual team. Experience with video processing and transmission systems. Experience in an industry with high levels of regulation and compliance. Awareness of safety-critical working. Preferred: Be able to teach aspects of onboard ETCS signalling systems. Experience with the application of distributed systems or control system networks. Cybersecurity knowledge. CIPD Training and Development qualification or equivalent experience. Courses to be delivered: Our clients' legacy and new signalling systems.
