Training Manager (12 months maternity cover)


Job purpose


Our client is a professional membership organisation committed to advancing the healthcare field. It plays a vital role in supporting medical and health professionals by offering resources, education, and guidance to elevate healthcare quality.

They are currently seeking a Training Manager for a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This role involves comprehensive management of trainee and educator support, communications, and engagement, acting as a primary contact for both trainees and trainers. The role is focused on enhancing involvement through innovative outreach, outstanding customer service, and cross-departmental collaboration. Key responsibilities include overseeing and administering all aspects of the medical training initiative, and line-managing the Training Engagement Coordinator and FTC Training Coordinators.


Key facts:

Full time maternity cover contract - 12 months

Salary: up to £49,500 pa

Hybrid working pattern: home based combined with minimum 2 days a week in the London office


Candidate requirements:


  • Experience and understanding of medical careers
  • Experience of successfully managing relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Strong experience of managing committees, including agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking in a professional environment
  • Ability to line manage and motivate staff including setting objectives, undertaking performance reviews and appraisals
