Transactional Finance Supervisor

to join our finance team in

Gillingham, Kent . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales / Purchase Ledger and Credit Control functions.In addition to the operational aspects of this role you will also be required to provide supervision and mentorship of other finance team members. A one-stop-shop for pre- and post-construction services.Igne’s six service categories are: site investigation, testing, unexploded ordnance, water wells, geothermal, and geo-environmental. Responsibilities: Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely collection of payments Communicate with clients via phone and email to follow up on outstanding invoices Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to debt collection Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve any discrepancies or disputes regarding payments Utilise accounting software for data entry and management of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and present findings to management Mentor and support finance team members. Proven experience in finance, particularly sales / purchase ledger and credit control Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, enabling effective assessment of financial information Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good organisational skills Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain positive client relationships Salary & Benefits: Salary on offer is c£35,000 We operate a hybrid model (minimum 3 days in the office) 25 days holiday + bank holidays Continuous training and development Discretionary bonus scheme Medical cashback plan We are a Real Living Wage Employer, a Disability Confident Employer and signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant; we recruit talented individuals who care about making a positive difference.
