Job Overview: The successful candidate will manage and control the dispatch of the daily workload to the fleet in order to achieve delivery service levels. Coordinating between transport, planning, warehouse management and compliance; whilst escalating and managing issues in real time. Also, to interact with drivers and manage them as a resource, providing a first line of support. What’s on offer: Shift pattern – Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 4am Hours per week - 37.5 £27,037.50 per annum - paid monthly Holidays - 26.5 days per year Key Duties/Tasks: Manage the completion of the outbound delivery schedule in real time Control vehicle and driver resource against schedules within compliance restrictions Identify and resolve issues that may impact completion of the schedule Communicate with other areas such as Backhaul, GHT, VMU and Delivery Service Answer incoming communication to the traffic desk Support drivers who require assistance from the team Manage vehicles to meet service schedules To complete accurate administration work and reports to the required standards. To abide by all Company Policies and Procedures. Support and deliver on the Company mission and vision whilst living and promoting the Company values. Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards with due regard to Customer requirements and in line with HARA, BRCGS and any other internal or external legislation/audits. To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy. You will challenge poor and promote good Health Safety Environmental practices by taking responsibility for the Health, Safety, environmental and welfare of yourself. Requirements & Qualifications: Have strong communication skills both written and verbal. Be proficient in IT packages such as Excel and Word. Have the ability and willingness to problem solve taking into consideration compliance constraints. Be proactive in their approach to work. Be able to manage their own workload. Work effectively as part of a team. Work unsupervised. Have strong interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Experience in working with the following systems - SAP, Tacho Analysis, Microlise, Microsoft Office. Good UK geographic knowledge. Had experience of working in a Transport team / environment.
