NEOS are working with a specialist contractor operating within groundworks and concrete frame construction, delivering projects valued between £1 million and £50 million across London and the South East. This role is based at the company's head office near Crawley and it's a great opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join a reputable company.

Role Summary:

The Transport Coordinator oversees daily operations involving drivers and vehicles, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries while managing client expectations. The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards, including the undertakings of the Operator's Licence and FORS-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety Maintain a safe and compliant office environment. Ensure drivers adhere to UK highway regulations and company safety rules. Coordinate Driver CPC and FORS training in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Verify driver licences and monitor any reported infringements. Operational Quality Ensure compliance with Operator's Licence undertakings. Efficiently plan and execute routes, including movement orders. Oversee and process documentation accurately. Liaise with internal sites and external suppliers/customers. Manage and download tachograph data per DVSA regulations. Record driver infringements and conduct debriefs. Schedule and monitor vehicle inspections, servicing, and MOTs. Keep records of maintenance and defects for compliance. Maintain Working Time Directive records. Administer and monitor FORS activities and collision management procedures. Oversee the efficiency of the in-house garage. Commercial Plan routes to maximize delivery efficiency. Minimize idling and unnecessary external transport costs. Keep supplier agreements up to date and process invoices accurately.

Skills and Experience:

CPC Management experience preferred. Strong leadership and people management abilities. Working knowledge of FORS with practitioner-level expertise. Proficient in verbal and written communication. Effective time management and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics. #J-18808-Ljbffr
