TRS Staffing has a fantastic new role for a Transport & Installation Engineer for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer. The role will see you lead and coordinate T&I engineering work in relation to the WTG foundations on the offshore windfarm. The Role
Develop marine logistics strategy from WTG foundation fabrication locations to marshalling facilities to transport to field for subsequent installation. Provide T&I input into the WTG foundation design process. Identify suitable installation vessels that have the capability to install the structures being proposed. Develop installation strategy and assess contractors' proposed methodology for efficiency and suitability. Long haul HTV vessel selection. Your Profile
Closely interface with the structures team on the project during the Concept/FEED/Detailed Design to ensure that requirements for T&I are introduced and reflected in the foundation design: Lift Point Design Installation criteria Grillage & SF design Tooling requirements Additionally, closely interface with the WTG team on the project to understand the WTG parameters for installation, including: Hub heights Water depths Leg penetration Maintain a close interface with the Geotech team for foundation installation and geotechnical requirements, supporting information required, risks associated with geotechnical constraints, and associated installation methods. Maintain ongoing interaction with the T&I supply chain during the design process to ensure that the contractor’s methodology for installation aligns with the design.
