Description

We are now looking for a

Transport Manager

to join our team. This is a fantastic job opportunity to support the management of our internal fleet of vehicles. The transport manager will be involved with all internal and some external movements around the Lush Manufacturing world. Managing a small fleet of vehicles with a great driving team, the transport manager will be responsible for keeping all production room stock on the move, supplying some of the busiest Lush factories across the globe. Moving raw materials, fresh products, and equipment, the internal fleet is an integral part of the Lush business model. We are looking for an experienced individual to support the logistics management team with maintaining and managing the vehicles and driving team. With great planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills, you will ensure that all production rooms and distribution hubs are stocked up ready to supply our customers.

Your role would involve:

Responsible for company operator licence. Responsible for legal operator licence compliance (restricted). Vehicle maintenance schedule for vehicle periodic inspections as per operator licence. Vehicle road fund licence and M.O.T. Liaising with repairers for servicing, repairs, and breakdowns through PMI contracts. Responsible for accurate vehicle record keeping as per DVSA criteria via Vision. Responsible for driver compliance of tachograph hours and record rules via Vision. Database management for drivers' hours and vehicle activity. Accurate record keeping for the “Working Time Directive” compliance via Vision. Driver licence periodic DVLA checks. Driver periodic training for driver CPC, ADR, and continuous training. Supply of drivers' protective clothing / boots. Price checking bulk fuel supply price, issue of fuel cards and checking fuel invoices. Vehicle hire / replacement. Vehicle acquisition and disposal. Communication with Lush manufacturing staff on requirements and stock requirements. Daily communication with the drivers keeping them up to date with requests and movements.

Have great communication skills. Have good English – written and spoken. Have good computer skills. Be flexible with working hours.
