Are you an experienced Transport Manager with a passion for ensuring operational excellence and legal compliance? We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Transport Manager to oversee our transport services, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and compliance of our vehicle fleet and staff transport services. Please Note:

A full UK driving licence is required for this role. Competitive (based on qualifications and experience) Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (see "work schedule" section below) The role of Transport Manager at Prior's Court

The Transport Manager will ensure that the vehicle fleet and staff transport service remain safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective. This is a highly visible delivery role which requires an individual who can effectively manage their team in a fast-paced environment to deliver excellent customer experience. Responsibilities Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include: Oversee the staff transport service, ensuring timely and safe transport to and from employment locations. Manage and train drivers, ensuring all staff are adequately trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively. Monitor and manage driver performance, punctuality, and wellness to maintain high service standards. Liaise with recruitment and onboarding teams to manage the recruitment of new drivers and maintain efficient staff levels. Perform regular route reviews and make improvements to enhance service delivery and reduce operational risks. Ensure all vehicles are maintained, inspected, and compliant with safety regulations. Work with external consultants to complete annual audits and maintain operational standards. Manage transport budgets, vehicle purchases, and maintenance planning. Collaborate with HR and other departments to enhance staff retention and improve service satisfaction. Experience in fleet management and staff transport services. Strong understanding of transport-related legal requirements and compliance. Proven track record in managing teams and maintaining operational efficiency. A current, clean driving licence is essential. Experience in reporting to senior management, managing budgets, and ensuring performance against KPIs. You will work a standard 37.5-hour week, with some flexibility required to accommodate operational needs.
