Transport Operations Manager , youll oversee a team of 5-6 planners and approximately 40 trucks, taking responsibility for planning, customer satisfaction, and ensuring smooth transport operations. Transport Operations Manager , you will: Manage a team of 5-6 planners and oversee around 40 trucks, ensuring effective performance and development of the team. Ensure a seamless interface between all areas of the transport operation to maximize efficiency and productivity. Be the first point of contact for customers and hauliers, focusing on excellent customer satisfaction and communication. Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, health & safety regulations, and statutory company standards. Propose and implement changes to improve operational efficiency, service levels, and performance outcomes. Lead a team of approximately 80 drivers alongside the planning team, ensuring KPIs related to compliance, service, and financial targets are consistently met. Maintain clear and effective communication across the transport operation, ensuring all team members are aligned with company objectives. What Were Looking For: Minimum 5+ years of transport management experience (UK), ideally within a multi-site logistics environment. A solid working knowledge of the

airfreight distribution sector

is essential. National/International CPC qualification is mandatory. Proven ability to motivate, manage, and develop teams, with experience in a similar logistics operation highly desirable. Excellent communicator at all levels, capable of building strong relationships across the business and with external partners. A focus on delivering high-quality service and exceeding customer expectations. Strong tolerance for change and the ability to thrive in a competitive and evolving environment. Commercially focused with a drive for achieving KPIs, ensuring compliance, and optimizing operational performance.
