Coleshill, B46 1TT DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily transportation and logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? Responsible for ensuring that daily transport operation in relation to agreed contractual KPI's, agreed budget and legal compliance of drivers and vehicles is strictly adhered to. You will be required to work from customer locations as well as DHL Hams Hall Tradeteam. To organise, control & be responsible for the transport resources to deliver a high level of service to the customer. Controlling all movements of customer product to delivery nationally, within short timescales utilising core fleet, sub contractors and internal Out base operations. You will be responsible for ensuring all employees meet Health & Safety and compliance requirements at all times. You will ensure that all vehicles also meet the legal and DHL's Compliance requirements. You will take responsibility for managing the site Operating Centre as DHL's nominated CPC holder.
