RSW have been given a great opportunity to recruit for an experienced Transport Planner to join our client based in Cardiff. Excellent progression opportunities available for the right candidate. Due to location, own transport is essential. Responsibilities:

Assist the Transport Manager to ensure efficient use of staff and assets leading to maximum commercial contract efficiency, profit, and customer service. Plan and organise the activities of the Transport Operation for daily transport issues including dispatch debriefs and work progress. Work closely with the customers to ensure the smooth running of the operation, debrief drivers on their daily activities and maximise the use of resources within the operations by fully utilising assets and planning. Provide regular reports to the Transport and Sales Manager on customer related and other relevant matters making appropriate recommendations and answering all queries via email, phone, and face to face. Assist with compliance planning in line with company procedures and provide direct assistance and support for breakdowns. Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, offer support and assistance as a team member. Essential Skills Required:

Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in the aggregate or waste industry. Excellent problem-solving skills. Understand legal compliance, drivers’ hours and WTD’s. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Analytical ability to review data and reports. Working Hours:

Rotational shifts Mon to Fri 07.00 – 16.00 and 08.00 – 17.00. Some additional cover on Saturdays will be required. Remuneration:
