and occasional weekend work if required. What You’ll Be Doing: Plan and Coordinate:
You’ll be responsible for planning daily deliveries on our own trucks and coordinating with external suppliers. Maximize revenue, keep operations running smoothly, and ensure timely deliveries. Lead and Inspire:
Manage a team of drivers, leading with enthusiasm and inspiring them to perform their best. Customer Communication:
Engage with clients, suppliers, and drivers at a high level, both verbally and in writing. Data Mastery:
Utilize software like Excel and Truckcom to manage schedules, track performance, and optimize operations. Cost Management:
Monitor transport costs and performance metrics to drive efficiency and profitability. Grow the Business:
Assist in winning new business and maintaining relationships with current customers by quoting for jobs and responding to RFQs. What You Bring to the Table: Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a transport haulage company, 5+ years managing container trucks and drivers, and 5+ years in container transport planning. Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in Excel, Truckcom, and VBS systems. Certifications: A
clean driving license . CPC Qualification
(preferred). Knowledge: Familiarity with key sea ports like
Southampton
and
Portsmouth . Experience handling
perishable goods
