We seek multiple dedicated and experienced Transport Planners to join our client in Doncaster. This role requires a detail-oriented individual to manage and coordinate the logistics of our client's transport operations.
Monday to Friday days and 1 in 3 Saturday
£30 to £35K depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Plan and schedule transport routes to ensure optimal efficiency. Coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to facilitate timely deliveries. Monitor transport activities and proactively address any issues or delays. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transport activities, including logs and reports. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise. Optimize transport operations to reduce costs while improving service levels. Requirements:
Proven experience in transport planning or logistics. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficient in transport management software and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to transport.
