As a Transport Planner, you will ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods to our customers. Your primary duties will include: Control and Utilisation of Company Assets:

Efficiently manage and utilise the company's fleet of vehicles and other assets. Monitor vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure safe and reliable collections and deliveries. Maintain accurate records of asset utilisation and availability. Ensure that all vehicles are most effectively routed and planned to ensure overall costs are minimised and overall revenue is maximised whilst delivering high service standards to our customers. Ensure that the planned maintenance schedules of the company's fleet are adhered to without fail. Planning:

Plan and schedule the transport of goods, utilising available resources effectively. Coordinate and optimise routes to maximise efficiency and minimise costs. Liaise with drivers and other team members to ensure streamlined operations. Monitor and adjust transport plans as required to meet customer deadlines. Customer Service:

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by prioritising timely deliveries. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing accurate and relevant information. Proactively communicate any potential delays or issues, offering suitable alternatives whenever possible. Ensure all customer rejections are returned within the agreed customer timeframe. Escalate any potential failures to the customer or manager immediately once known. Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in regard to road transport operations. Implement and maintain strict safety protocols to ensure driver and public safety. Stay updated with the latest transportation regulation developments and identify improvement areas. Ensure agency expenditure is kept at a minimum level and justified at all times. Escalate any potential failures to the customer or manager immediately once known. Requirements:

Proven experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar role within the logistics industry. Knowledge of road transport regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficient in using transport planning software and computer systems. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure.
