Role and Responsibilities As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for organising the daily routing of vehicles, debriefing drivers, finding backloads, and opening new doors to new customers. We are a very fast-paced company, and you will need to be able to work as a team and have the necessary skills to work independently. CPC is desirable, and experience within the transport industry is also essential. Typical Responsibilities will include: Route planning of Vuba vehicles based on customer demand & operational efficiency. Assisting with developing internal processes to ensure the best customer experience and value. Establishing and maintaining an expansive network of international, national, and local logistics operators. Negotiating costs for external transport, ensuring best value and agreed service quality. Assisting with logistics support for the purchasing department, advising on the best method and obtaining quotes. Managing 3rd party logistics claims, ensuring optimal outcomes for Vuba and our customers. Maintaining excellent communication with internal stakeholders, in particular, HGV Drivers, Distribution Managers, and Sales Department. Assisting with ensuring full compliance with legal requirements for own vehicles, including maintenance, record keeping, and driver management. Auditing driver hours, analysing results, and taking appropriate disciplinary action for non-conformance. Any other ad hoc duties.
