(Transport Planner) - Position Overview
Our client is a Transport & Logistics company specialising in UK Road Haulage, Handling, Screening and Airline Delivery as well as same day & national overnight deliveries.
They are now looking to bring in an Air Freight Coordinator who will either have experience or will be taught Transport Planning to help plan routes whilst ensuring all Air Freight compliance and regulations are met. This would suit a Driver/ Ex-driver looking for a career change, or a Junior Transport Planner with Air Freight experience looking to develop their career.
(Transport Planner) - Position Requirements UK Nationwide multidrop route planning for upwards to 10 vehicles. Ensuring deadlines/expectations are met and bespoke transport management system is continuously updated. Liaising with both customers and drivers throughout the day (this may require some early morning driver telephone communication). Regular team performance meetings with Transport Manager and Director. Airfreight experience is a necessity. (Transport Planner) - Position Remuneration Basic Salary - £32k - £35k depending on experience. Overtime will be required to meet operational needs and is paid at 1.25%. Monday to Friday (Excluding bank holidays). Basic office hours - 08.30 to 18.30 (Including 30 mins paid break). 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays. In-house Training provided.
