This role will be initially based in their Wigan office during onboarding for a period of 2-3 weeks - after that, the successful candidate will be in the temporary office in Leeds before the opening of the brand new depot in Bradford. With a genuine career runway to Regional Transport Manager, this is a real opportunity to make a huge impact and be a pivotal person in the success of the ongoing growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities: Effectively plan and distribute work as required and at short notice. Ensure all products that fall within Special Types General Order have all movement orders in place prior to delivery. Maintain accurate records of driver absences either via holiday or sickness. Supporting the Transport and Depot managers, raise order numbers for parts and labour to local suppliers. Work closely with the Transport Manager on vehicle inspections and compliance. Lead all department administration and identify areas to improve standards or processes. Support all health and safety requirements. Ensure that accurate time sheets are shared with the Payroll department. HS2 site bookings. Regular liaison with customers. To Be Successful: Genuine team player, but also proactive and able to work efficiently independently. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. Previous experience in planning in the plant hire or asset rental sector. Natural relationship builder and problem solver. Full Microsoft Office skills.
