Based in the Crewe area, we are proud of our team-oriented culture and commitment to excellence. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Planner to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and manage the daily transport operations to ensure the efficient movement of goods. Liaise with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Optimize transport routes and vehicle utilization to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. Monitor compliance with transport regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards. Address and resolve any operational issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to services. Maintain accurate records of schedules, deliveries, and associated documentation. Coordinate vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to ensure fleet availability. Use transport management systems (TMS) to track and manage operations. Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience in a similar transport planning role, preferably within the general haulage sector. Strong knowledge of transport legislation, regulations, and best practices. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Effective communication skills to build relationships with drivers, clients, and internal teams. Proficiency in using transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Benefits: Competitive salary of £35,000 per year.
