ASAP Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their reputable team in Doncaster. This role will suit an experienced Transport Planner with solid knowledge and proven experience in HGV General Haulage planning. The ideal candidate will be able to plan, direct and control the activities of the transport fleet including sub-contractors during the night operation. The Transport Planner must provide a high-quality service to both internal and external customers. Your key responsibilities as a Transport Planner - Nights:
Routing and scheduling vehicles to optimise fleet utilisation Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK Dispatching and debriefing drivers Actively seek to understand customer operational requirements and identify any service or delivery concerns or failures Develop a network of national transport services to ensure services are delivered cost-effectively Work with all other transport teams throughout the Company to support their work requirements as needed and maximise internal revenue wherever possible Constantly review tariffs to ensure that we are both competitive and sensitive to market conditions Hands-on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost-effectively Completing all administration tasks and dealing with infringements, so good attention to detail is required to ensure the accuracy of information Maintaining company policies and procedures The Requirements:
General Haulage planning experience - ESSENTIAL Solid understanding of WTD & Tacho laws Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK Benefits:
