We are recruiting for one of the UK's leading logistics and freight companies that operate worldwide and offer a full range of services in the UK, across Europe and Internationally across all trade routes. Our client seeks an experienced Transport Planner - Pallet Network to join their reputable team.

Your key responsibilities as a Transport Planner - Pallet Network:

Routing and scheduling to optimise the fleet utilisation of around 30 vehicles Multi drop, pallet network routes Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK Dispatching and debriefing drivers Prepare and produce Vehicle and Load Manifests and customer paperwork and present to the Warehouse and assigned drivers Liasing with agencies to book drivers Hands on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost-effectively DVSA file checks ensuring compliance Maintaining insurance records, fleet records and DVSA records, updating fleet size, trailer numbers and identification Completing all administration tasks and dealing with infringements, so good attention to detail is required to ensure the accuracy of information Manage fleet inspections, services, MOTs, and breakdowns, ensure full compliance with minimal business disruption and cost. Drivers' vehicle, trailer and equipment safety checks are completed in accordance with the manufacturers and suppliers' guidelines and the Company's legal obligations Maintaining company policies and procedures

Requirements: Experience with general haulage planning is essential Pallet Network planning experience is essential Understanding of vehicle weight and limits Solid WTD knowledge Vehicle weights and legal limits Understanding of drivers hours and working time directive Road Traffic laws Ability to commute with drivers, colleagues and customers on all levels Excellent customer service skills The ability to work under pressure
