GBP30,000 per annum Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join a growing team based in Warwickshire. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in planning and managing transportation systems, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods and people. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for developing transportation solutions, analyzing routes, and working closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize logistics operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement transportation plans that align with company goals and customer requirements. Analyze traffic patterns, road networks, and transportation systems to identify opportunities for improvement. Plan and coordinate efficient and cost-effective transportation routes, including optimization of fleet management. Collaborate with logistics teams, drivers, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety standards and environmental considerations. Monitor and review the performance of transport systems, suggesting and implementing improvements. Provide regular reports on transportation activities and performance metrics to management. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, legislation changes, and best practices to enhance transportation operations. Manage and maintain records related to transportation planning, including permits, route details, and scheduling. Key Requirements: Proven experience in transport planning, logistics, or supply chain management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize transportation operations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Proficiency in transport planning software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of UK transportation regulations and industry best practices. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. A valid UK driving license is desirable but not essential. Desirable Skills: Experience with route planning and fleet management systems. Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices in transport planning. Ability to interpret traffic and transport data to forecast and mitigate issues.
