A well-respected and established container logistics and distribution business, which has shown consistent growth over almost 30 years, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner looking to take the next important career step. You will join an expanding, dynamic business in Stowmarket, working Mon to Fri days. The role would also suit a logistics professional with Transport Planning experience who is pro-active, efficient, and a team player.

This is a great role for an ambitious individual to join this progressive business, which has experienced year-on-year growth. With further expansion plans, they have an exciting opportunity for a hard-working Transport Planner to join their team. You will enjoy the buzz of a busy transport environment and a variety of duties, including chasing hauliers for updates, ensuring that time scales are adhered to, and reacting pro-actively to unforeseen issues that may impact delivery times, ensuring they are resolved effectively with minimal impact on the business.

You will engage with personnel at all levels of the business, building professional relationships and identifying areas for continuous improvement. Multimodal transport experience and container logistics will be an advantage.

The qualities that are highly valued include professionalism, flexibility, an ability to use your initiative, client engagement, and a willingness to do what it takes to deliver. In addition to a track record of success, you will be pro-active, positive, adaptable, and capable of handling unforeseen situations. Being switched-on, thinking on your feet, and operating in a fast-paced environment will be essential. Experience with planning software and good IT skills will be beneficial. There are genuine opportunities to advance into more senior planning roles within the business.
