£28,500 Job summary: In this role you will be using the vehicle planning software to ensure efficient & effective plans are created daily. You will be responsible for the Dunstable Transport Operations site’s daily vehicle planning, ensuring all jobs are planned and allocated for the following days plan and all timed and special requirement deliveries are planned accordingly and maintained daily. Major Duties and responsibilities Complete efficient and effective routes for the following day Managing customer/network orders and prioritisation based on customer requirements Support the operations team in maintaining service to customers and networks Help build runs for the groupage (general) drivers Print and collate all driver’s paperwork ahead of the following day’s trips Give a detailed night shift plan and handover for the night shift and the following morning’s shift to allow smooth operations throughout the shifts Pre-assign required collections ahead of the following shift. Support the Planning Manager in maintaining the routing data within the planning system Profile Experience working in a transport operation and knowledge of the logistics industry Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes to meet the demands placed on Miniclipper by our customers Strong communicator and customer service skills Calm under pressure and good at problem solving Innovative, forward thinking, able to think ‘outside the box’ and generate new opportunities for improvement Flexible and a team player A positive attitude to work and willing to contribute to an enjoyable workplace environment Committed and dedicated to the role and providing the best possible service for the customer Experience with various IT systems and a quick learner to be able to learn new systems Technical competencies Previous administrative and transport planning experience is essential Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word Adaptable IT skills Experience in using TMS or route planning systems is preferable Paragon planning software experience is preferred but not essential Behavioural competencies Ability to establish positive relationships of trust and credibility with customers, colleagues and drivers Completes work accurately, on time Shows commitment to customer satisfaction Courteous, responsive and professional with others Good verbal and written communication skills and strong organization. Flexible in role; willing to adapt to changing/new duties Encourages innovation and progressive ways in the workplace Actively seeks new knowledge and skills Additional benefits 23 days holiday + bank holidays – goes up 1 day from 3 years service to a max of 28 days + bank holidays 4% ER and EE pension contributions with life assurance Medicash Job Types:
