Transport Planning Manager

to join our busy transport office, to ensure the transport schedules and routes are as efficient as possible, through the leadership and management of the planning team, using the Paragon planning system. We’re really flexible on working location, however you’ll need to visit our Birmingham office at least once per week. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. However occasionally we may need some flexibility… this is logistics after all. £40,000

per annum , you’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. Your benefits package includes a company car or car allowance of

What you’ll do on a typical day: Use Paragon to create an optimised daily schedule, producing daily plans that consistently achieve KPI’s and constantly look at how we can plan more efficiently as a network Coach and develop your team to achieve stringent customer targets within a challenging, time sensitive operation Complete plan vs actual reviews of previous days schedule, changing front end information to reflect volume and load issues Track and report the fleet utilisation performance and improvements made using Paragon, reviewing the accuracy of data and constructively feeding back to the teams on issues and actions required What you need to succeed at GXO: Planning and leadership experience, within a fast-paced transport environment A continuous improvement mindset with a strong operational knowledge of Paragon and Microlise Have a flexible approach, strong problem-solving abilities and a level of high attention to detail The ability to communicate effectively at all levels and make confident business decisions We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
