Transport Support Operator focuses on despatching outbound drivers, ensuring that correct paperwork is issued, and that all instructions regarding collections and deliveries are clear and understood.

What the role involves

• Despatching outbound drivers, ensuring that correct paperwork is issued, and that all instructions regarding collections and deliveries are clear and understood.
• Monitoring of vehicle progress at all stages of its journey utilising appropriate systems of telephone.
• Ensuring any delays or issues potentially affecting performance are escalated appropriately.
• Utilise customer or retailer systems to ensure that bookings are made, amended, or progress updated as necessary.
• Assisting in resolving operational issues as appropriate, liaising with drivers, customers, delivery points or other stakeholders as required.
• Ensure performance is optimised, including Warehouse, Finance, Fleet, KAMs.

Skills and requirements

• Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
• Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Annual Leave – 28 days inclusive of the bank holidays.

Confirmed role details

• Our Spalding site have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Support Operator to join our friendly team on a full-time permanent basis.
• Any 5 in 7 days, starting between 7am and 10am and finishing between 4pm and 7pm.
• Every 2 in 4 weekends.
• £26,270- £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
