Transport Team Leader - Nights Shift pattern: Rotating 2 week pattern Sunday - Friday with a rest day during week then Monday - Friday 19:30 - 04:30 Salary: GBP37,000 Location: Dagenham Fresh Direct in Dagenham is looking for a Transport Team Leader with experience from within a busy operational transport environment. You will oversee and support the Distribution Manager in the day-to-day running of our Transport Department. As Transport Team Leader, you will provide effective and efficient daily admin support to the drivers and Transport Management team to deliver to our customers across London. The main responsibilities include: Managing drivers' rota in terms of route planning and covering drivers' holidays. Keeping accurate agency control and legal/process checks to ensure legality. Deploying vehicles and drivers to best meet the needs of the business and its customers. Completing daily transport paperwork in line with company policy and procedures correctly and error-free. You will be confident in completing general administration duties in a fast-paced, time-pressured environment. Strong attention to detail is required for the control of Tachographs and systems, as well as accurate maintenance of Titan and Prophet systems. As Team Leader for our Transport Department, you will work both on the computer, in person, and over the telephone, in line with Transport legislation, company policy, and procedures. Building close relationships with other departments and customers is vital, as you will work with the Customer Services team to manage and resolve shortage recoveries and advise on any issues arising from deliveries as reported by drivers. Previous leadership experience and knowledge of the working time directive are essential to confidently manage a team of drivers and drivers' mates.
