Inspection Services is a core part of the Manheim Inventory Solutions business and is the number one provider of end of lease vehicle inspection and logistics services. Inspection Services delivers volumes into our Vehicle Services and Auctions business as well as vehicles to businesses outside the Manheim portfolio. Scope of Role: Reporting to the Transport & Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Transport department and management of the team members within it. The Manheim Inspections Transport Division successfully coordinates the timely movement of 140,000+ vehicles per annum, from hub sites to sale locations, between auction locations and dealer deliveries, utilising Manheim Logistics, internal resources, and multiple third-party logistics providers.

Key Responsibilities: Manage the Transport Team Members in line with Cox Automotive guidelines, ensuring regular 1-2-1’s and check-ins are completed. Efficient and effective management of the Transport Team, including: Booking of vehicle movements within agreed customer SLA’s. Reporting on WIP (Work in Progress movements). Supporting the team with managing bespoke customer processes such as Key 4 Key movements & implementation of new accounts/processes. Ensure all systems are accurately updated with POC/POD information. Maintain high standards in customer communications, both internal and external, completed within SLA. Monitor costs to move vs income received and present to the Transport and Planning Manager. Plan EV movements to ensure cost-effective routes are taken when allocating a vehicle to either a subcontractor or in-house resource, considering miles travelled, current charge, vehicle range, hubs, and the requirement to charge on route. Provide additional support to the Team as needed (absences, peak times, etc.). Manage stock control in MIS Hub Storage Locations alongside capacities reporting. Produce bespoke reporting for Transport/Arrivals/KPIs/Suppliers/ADHOC Reporting. Objectives for Role: Direct responsibility for the management of the MIS Transport Team. Ownership of Transport practices and performance. Regularly review transport activities, costs, and revenues with the Transport & Planning Manager to optimize financial opportunities. Implement efficient processes and standards. Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g., GDPR). Oversee the implementation of technology solutions within your department. Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement. Reporting on Transport KPIs/Costs/SLAs/BEV Vehicles.
