Our Telford site has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Team Leader to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a Transport Team Leader, you will be responsible for the supervision of the Transport Operations Team and the driver team, including the daily planning of company and third-party resources, ensuring that all vehicles and drivers get clear, precise instructions and are fully utilized. Shift : 4 on 4 off, 6pm-6am. Salary : £32,138 per annum, plus £1,000 attendance bonus. Key Duties of Transport Team Leader: Allocate both drivers and vehicles to loads in the most efficient way, taking into account holidays and sickness, drivers' hours, and WTD regulations. Plan driver start times to meet the site's dispatch KPI. Proactively communicate with third-party hauliers to ensure collection times are adhered to from site. Liaise with the shunting operation covering pre-loading and unloading operations. Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, communicating accurate start times, load information, and directions. Ensure orders are dispatched and delivered in the right condition in line with customer specifications. Communicate with the collection or delivery points to advise of any delays. Ensure that service levels are achieved and maintained, in conjunction with other departments. Allocate equipment to meet maintenance/service intervals as instructed by the maintenance planner. Adhere to the business Health & Safety policy, ensuring that all accidents are reported. Qualifications

Transport experience in an FMCG environment. Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information. The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. Able to work as part of a team or individually. Be professional, approachable, and helpful to ensure the smooth running of the general operation. Knowledge & experience of tachograph/driving rules and regulations. CPC National desirable but not essential. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good IT skills including Microsoft Office packages. Effectively prioritize workload to meet set deadlines. Additional Information
