Streamline Recruitment are recruiting for a Transport Team Leader based in Tilbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics operation, offering a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days and nights) and a salary of £40,000 - £45,000. Temporary basis with potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of drivers, ensuring the effective and efficient running of transport operations. Monitor and manage the daily scheduling of vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries and optimising routes. Ensure compliance with all transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and safety procedures. Report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including operational performance, fuel efficiency, and driver performance. Coordinate and oversee the effective use of resources, including managing vehicle allocation, drivers' working hours, and vehicle maintenance schedules. Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent service to clients. Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of team members. Foster a positive team culture, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in a transport or logistics leadership role, ideally within a similar environment. Strong understanding of transport operations, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements. Experience working in a 24/7 operation, including flexibility to manage both day and night shifts.
