Home-Start York is a small local charity, supporting families with pre-school children in the York area.
The Board of Trustees is looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Treasurer.
The Treasurer ensures the financial management of the charity is robust and liaises with all parties including other trustees, paid staff, external accountants, outsourced payroll provider, and Companies House, and takes an active part with the rest of the Trustee Board in ensuring the Charity delivers an efficient and effective service. This is a voluntary post.
Specific duties include:
Engage with other members of the Trustee Board in subgroups to form a strategic plan.
Reconcile monthly bank transactions to Sage accounting programme.
Manage user access to Sage.
Manage CAF Bank users.
Produce quarterly reports for Trustee Board.
Liaise with staff team to produce annual finance data for inclusion in Annual Report.
Liaise with Accountant on information for inclusion in Annual Report.
Update external payroll provider on any changes.
Process payments through the bank.
Process Companies House submissions.
Monitor NJC pay rate.
