Tree Surgeon/Grounds Person

Responsibilities: Undertake all aspects of Tree Work (Tree Felling, Stump Grinding, and Hedge Trimming). This role will be 60% of the time pruning, maintaining, and planting new trees. Maintenance duties will include both mechanical and manual operations covering a broad spectrum of grounds maintenance in summer and winter months. Duties will include but are not limited to soil cultivation, grass cutting, planting trees/shrubs, bed preparation, seasonal bedding, pruning, tree surgery, road/car park/pathway gritting, and snow clearance. Responsibility for the Health and Safety of themselves, their work colleagues, and others who may be affected by their activities, working in accordance with the company's safety procedures. Ensure the safe use, storage, calibration, and disposal of pesticides and other similar substances. Perform any other duties relevant to grade which might be specified from time to time by your Supervisor. Key Skills/Experience: Manual Handling Ability. Commercial Grounds Maintenance experience. Good communication skills. Chainsaw qualification CS30, 31, 38, 39. Must be able to use/handle tools. Basic Health and Safety Knowledge. Ability to conduct own method & risk assessments. Must be flexible with work hours. Driven to complete tasks above expectations. CSCS Card Holder (Not Necessary). The Mick George Group is committed to providing equality of opportunity for all.
