We are looking for passionate individuals aged 11 - 25 who are committed to developing Trestle and passionate about theatre! As well as engaging in and representing Trestle as a whole, Board members would also represent and advocate for Trestle School of Drama and would be asked to talk with and visit classes for thoughts and feedback. When will we meet? We will meet quarterly – only 4 times in the academic year. Initially on a Thursday evening, further dates will be decided as a group. Notes will be sent to read beforehand to come to meetings with thoughts and ideas to share! Where will we meet? Meetings will take place on Zoom or at Trestle Arts Base, St Albans. Each Youth Board member serves a term of 1 year, at the end of which they can stand for re-election to a further term of 1 year, with a maximum of 3 years served. How do I apply? Send us an email to

with your name, age and why you would like to be on the youth board, and what exciting skills or ideas you think you can bring. This can be as a piece of writing, a video, a voice note or any way you think you can best express yourself. If you’re not able to email us then catch Karene at Trestle Arts Base or call 01727 850950. Please note that this is a voluntary role and we do not pay to serve on the Youth Board; however, expenses reasonably incurred in connection with your duties can be reimbursed where necessary. Get your applications in by 5pm on Saturday 28th September 2024!
